Yes, Please

When I saw this fun bright clutch filled with floating neon glitter I fell quirkily in love. It totally reminds me of those glitter and water filled bangle bracelets I used to sport as a kid in the best way.

Shopbop Says:

Kotur

Fluorescent Glitter Globe Clutch

"Description

Neon glitter floats inside a liquid-filled lucite box clutch from Kotur. A crystal kiss lock opens the top, and a rolo chain links one side. Optional pouch. Dust bag included.

Weight: 20oz / 0.57kg.

Imported, China.

MEASUREMENTS

Height: 4in / 10cm

Length: 6in / 15.5cm

Depth: 2.25in / 5.75cm

Designer

After discovering a trove of vintage brocades in an old mill in Hong Kong, native New Yorker and Parsons-educated designer Fiona Kotur was inspired to create a line of handbags that reflected her love of art and fashion. The initial Kotur collection was unveiled in 2004, and ever since, these unique handbags have been sought after by the global fashion set. With pieces that are as easily suited to fashion week as they are to date night, Kotur handbags are the modern woman's carryall of choice."

I think it'd be a great twist with jeans or all dressed up. And it would definitely make me feel young at heart. The $395.00 price tag on the other hand... But that's why it's called wishful thinking though, right?

Would you carry a clutch this eccentric?

Kisses,

K

Shoes, Shoes, Shoes...

Anthropologie always has the quirkiest cutest things and these Logan Brand Dusk Blossom Heels are no exception... I love them! Irrationally perhaps, since I'd have no place to wear them, but love it is all the same.
The highly impratical 4.5" raffia wrapped heel would make me look like a giant (I'm already 5'8") and get trashed in Florida's frequently wet weather...
The delicate silk upper and leather sole would fair about the same as the heel...
But what a pretty 4.5" heel it is.
And how lovely is the painterly silk print?

Che amore...

Shoe love... It's often rather irrational, no?

Kisses,

K

Kate Spade always gets it right.

Fun, sassy, and classy? Yes, please!

Here are my current favorite picks:

Going clockwise from the top left: Tanner Dress, OOH LA LA Large Bella Pouch, Dictionary IPad Folio, La Pavillion IPad Folio, I Married Adventure Book Clutch, and Krysta Pumps

Isn't the bow on the back of the dress just the sweetest?!

Yes, Please!

How gorgeous is the Alice and Olivia gown? So pretty with just the right touch of edge!

Shopbop says:

"Voluminous layers of ruched tulle and contrast weave compose this romantic alice + olivia gown. The satin slip features a structured hem for added volume. Darted leather panels sculpt the backless bodice, and an exposed zip traces the barely-there back strap. Lined."

I would love to own this beauty and to have a fantastic party to wear it to!

Would you wear a leather accented dress?

K

Yes, Please!

Keeping with my cute fall themed things I like today I give you:

Jonathan Adler's Squirel Match Strike! It's pretty adorable and when form meets function I'm in! It's acorn holds your matches and, of course because it's a match strike, gives you a surface to light them off. Très mignon!

Wouldn't it be great on a Thanksgiving table?

Kisses,

K

Yes, Please: Fall

Autumn is nearly upon us and, although I'm a Florida girl once again, I find myself dreaming of sweater weather. But it's still in the high 80's and low 90's here, yup, I'm pretty lucky despite missing the Fall chill...

So this year my Fall wish list and inspiration is less coat and more blazer/ jacket.

I'm craving leather, black, black, and more black with a touch of camel, and lots of fun boots and accessories. I'm also totally ready to hop back on the oxblood trend train too! In fact, I may have never stopped loving it... It's such a vampy and moody hue. Every time September rolls around I'm ready for a deeper shade lipstick and mani change!

Of course, everything here is designer from Isabel Marant to Givenchy. I.e., I'm not getting any of it anytime soon ever... But a girl can dream and you certainly can't fault the inspiration level.

Looking forward to seeing how I do in regular person prices. :)

Kisses,

K

Where To Wear; Happy Labor Day Weekend!

Widely considered the last weekend of summer in the U.S., Labor Day is every red blooded American's excuse to get out and get in some sunshine before the colder months ahead.

So obviously the advance of Labor Day weekend has me dreaming of some beach time... I doubt I'll get any in with all the crazy busy lately (Plus, now that I live in Florida it feels less urgent.) but that doesnt stop me from dreaming of being the coolest and cheekiest (Not literally, Brazilian cuts? Not on my a** thankyouverymuch!) girl on the playa*.

Where to wear is the only remaining question? Daytona? Clearwater? I'm dreaming of Cocoa Beach methinks...

Glamorous sunglasses are a must, natch, and these Portofino Mirrored sunnies by Prism fit the bill quite nicely.
And how awesome is this Racel Comey Calabash Bikini? Very! It's both cute and sexy at the same time all while reminding me of my favorite animal print which happens to be...
ZEBRA!
Can we talk about this beach towel by Maslin for a second?!? Let's!

"This season Maslin is helping us get in touch with our inner animals—fitting for a company named after Australia’s first nudist beach. Each hide-shaped towel was inspired by glitzy 70s decor, and comes with a leather carry strap for beach hopping.

Reversible beach towel | Leather carry holster | 100% cotton."

It's probably the most adorable towel I've seen in my entire life! Need, must, want... Yes, please!

It's even cute rolled up!

If only its price tag wasn't as steep as it is cute... $225 is pretty high for a towel... Le sigh...

But say there was no budget... Get that sucker in leopard too for days when you're feeling less prey more predator.

Why not? You have no budget, remember? Plus, you'll be looking smoking in you're new beach ensemble with an instant conversation starter with all the hot surfer dudes to boot...

Me? I'm married and just daydreaming... But you? I see great things ahead for you my friend, great things...

Kisses,

K

Feels Like Home To Me

I'm always on the hunt for cool, quirky, and fun furniture and accessories to get for our (currently nonexistent*) house.

Plus I always lurve anything science-y. Rocks, barometers, Da Vinci thermometers... They just look awesome and are functionally cool to boot. J'adore!

So when I came across this radiometer on the Canoe website (a cool store in Portland, OR) I knew it was one for my dream home archives. Yes, please!

" The radiometer is an instructive object which demonstrates the scientific theory of converting natural light into energy. Powered only by light itself, it will spin slowly in low light conditions, furiously in direct sunlight or well-lit rooms up to 2,000 revolutions per minute. It remains unresponsive to fluorescent light. Science lesson aside, this blown glass radiometer functions as an engaging and sculptural object in its own right. Made in Germany."

Just think of the fun we could have watching it spin and spin while maniacally laughing about the wealth of natural sunlight in the state of Florida after living with a dearth of it in Seattle for so long!

Aaaah, good times people, good times...

Crazy aside though, it's just a super cool objet d'art that I'd really enjoy having around. Do you like incorporating a little science into your home?

Kisses,

K

*The Husband and I are still on the hunt for a house to rent near his new job in the tiny Florida town we'll be calling home for a while. Nothing right or with the right timing has materialized yet... don't ask... sigh...

Yes, Please!

Just a few things that I would love to own in my closet (Shopbop has me forever window shopping). The pink dresses are a reference for and upcoming event I'm hosting. More on that later though...

I love the side cut out dresses, sleek bikini, cute shoes, comfy black foldover leggings that aaren't bootcut, and all the Native American influenced accessories.
My absolute favorite items pictured, though, have to be the resin belts by Tory Burch. She just killed it and I am OBSESSED! As with all Tory Burch items, they're a bit pricey... Just shy of $200 pricey... But if I could I would because they're bound to be classic closet staples. I think they would add a timelessly unique element to most any outfit. They would look killer over a chic monotone dress!
