Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year!

Hope you all had a blessed Christmas season and blessed year!

We've had LOTS of ups and downs this year and lot of struggles but we've also had so many blessings in the midst of it.

There is always joy to be found when looked for and something to be thankful for!

We've certainly had lots to be thankful for!

Our first house, our first pregnancy to make it this far, and so many wonderful family and friends!

So much love to give and share!

I hope your new year is one of great joy and many blessings!

Kisses,

K

Early Christmas Exchange

The Husband and I were having a bit of a rough week so we decided to exchange some of our Christmas gifts early this year.
Also, he had a surprise for me that's he's been asking if he should give it to me early for weeks he was so excited about it... Too cute! So I finally caved and as always, he nailed it!
So thoughtful!
I got three books that I've been wanting and the "Dream it! Do It!" copy by Imagineer and Disney Legend Marty Sklar is signed! (I don't know if you remember but we got the privilege of meeting him and seeing him speak recently. Link here.)
The Victoria Finlay book is an amazing weaving of the worlds gems and gem trades. And "The Art and Flair of Mary Blair" is another Disney treasure about the amazing and prolific artist Mary Blair.
I also got some Lilly Pulitzer jammy pants that I love!
A Lancome perfume I've been wanting, Trésor La Nuit. It's the latest iteration in their Trésor series which I love and am not allergic to. Win win!
And...
A very cool map necklace from The Weekend Store that he found.
It's a little locket with a map of Florence, Italy on it which happens to be the place where we met. Very romantic and sweet!

And lastly, the gift he'd been dying to give me.

The push-mas-versary gift as we've dubbed it. My push present since I'm due January 8th, my Christmas present, and my five year anniversary present (on January 23rd).

A pair of WOW diamond stud earrings in one of my all time favorite cuts.
The classic Asscher cut. Needless to say I LOVE them!
And I love that I'll be able to wear them with our new baby without fear of them getting ripped or tugged out like most jewelry is around babies.
They'll help keep me feeling sparkly and stylish no matter how much baby puke I get on me, lol.
Perfect gift!
Feeling a bit spoiled over here and enjoying it!
Kisses,
K

Things Lately

Things have been picking up as the holidays get closer and closer around here. I'm sure they have for you too!
But Abby has discovered a new favorite peaceful activity in the midst of the chaos. I call it sun sitting but it's really sun sleeping.
At the time of day when the sun comes in through the door on this specific spot this is where she can found. Happy and relaxed.
We started our birthing class this week! Eeep! It's so exciting and a little nerve racking!
I finally got a red cup treat! (No caffeine of course though.)
And my nephew had the most ADORABLE photo shoot that this Auntie just had to brag! He is the cutest!!!
The furniture for the nursery came back from being refinished in a high shine white. It's actually the same pieces I had in my childhood room.

And I got some lovely flowers which always brightens my day!
How have things been lately for you?
Kisses,
K

Love is in the Air...

Just some Valentine's bits and bobs...
Updated my mani with my favorite red lately (Ciatè's Mistress, love the color not the name...) and some fun nail art using the items that came in my Ciatè Mini Mani Manor advent calendar in December. Got a little crazy with the pearls but I like it.
Ate some pre V-day macaroons.
Fell in LOVE with this Kate Spade NY clutch that I saw on the @martha_weddings Instagram account. Hopefully this is something they'll produce to sell? (Fingers crossed!)
Abby practiced her lovey dovey faces.
She has me totally charmed!
She even "made" a Valebtine for her "Dad."
I finished a sparkly pink birthday card for my sweet sister in law who loves pink and was born on Valentine's day!
Thinking I need to install one of these...

Would also love to add these sparkly dreams to my life. They're just the shoes Lilly James wore in the new live action Cinderella. No big deal. (Via @swarovski_official Instagram feed.)
I also set up our Valentine gift spread so when the Husband comes home tomorrow after call it's all ready for him!

How do you share the love on Valentine's Day and everyday?

K

Heartbroken

On this day last year a light went out of this world that can never be replaced.
My dear sweet cousin passed away less than a month before his 30th birthday and far too soon.
It is an unimaginable loss.

Adam, you brought joy with your smiles and caring to everyone you met.

You are so dearly loved and so very very missed.

We are heartbroken.

But I will always remember how joyful you could be and how extremely loving you always were. You were an incredibly giving human being and will always be remembered for your sweet heart and kindness.

You brought sparkle and love everywhere you went. You gave with a kind and open heart.

You brought laughter and joy to all who crossed your path.

There is a hole in our hearts where you should be that will never be filled.

So Very Heartbroken,

K

Happy Anniversary Cutie Pie!

Today marks three years of marriage with my soul mate.

Dearest Husband,

Here's to all that we've overcome, accomplished, and to rest of our lives together! Happy Anniversary amore, the amo moltissi-issi-issimo!

Kisses,

K(J)

An Aww Moment...

I saw this out and about on the internets, apparently this letter was written by the best friend of a woman (both are women despite the bro used at the end) with short term memory loss so she could read and re-read it to help her get through.

So very sweet. I hope this is the type of friend I'd be in this situation and I like to think my friends and fam would do this too. Inspiring, no? Let's all promise to try and be a little nicer an kinder to each other. Ready? Pinky swear.

Hope you all are having a wonderful weekend! The bridal shower is tomorrow so more to come on that soon!

Kisses,

K
