Happy Birthday Moma!

Today is my wonderful Mother's birthday!

She may be the most fabulous woman I know!

Smart, beautiful, fun, joyful, outgoing, the inspiring list goes on.

Hope you have a wonderful day Mom! So glad I finally get to spend a birthday celebrating you in person again!

It's A Small World's 50th Anniversary!

Disney's It's A Small World had its 50th Anniversary last Thursday and I was lucky enough to head over to the Magic Kingdom to take it for a float with my family. My Husband, Mom, and Dad all joined me for the trip down memory lane the park and it was so much much.
Hope you enjoy it too!

And now that you have the song stuck in your head I bid you adieu! ;)

K

My Baba's Birthday

My Baba turned 79 earlier this month.
It's been a rough past few years for her and we're all so happy to have her living near us now we just had to celebrate!
My Aunt Karen (she's the original KJ) out in Calofornia posted this on her Instagram for me to share with my Baba.

And my sister and I made these cupcakes to celebrate over at my parents' house.

They were Strawberry Lemonade with a passion fruit strawberry center.

Baba loved them!

My mom lit the all the candles...

And everyone sang.

Then the other two recent birthday boys joined in to help her blow all those candles out!

It was a good night!

Oh Happy Day!

Today I would like to wish my parents the happiest of anniversaries and congratulate them on 26 years!

Thanks so much for getting married and being such a great source for inspiration on married life!

Your tender love, laughter, and care for each other continues to provide one of the best templates for a life well loved that I've seen!

I'm so grateful to have you as my guides and parents, here's to another year of fabulous you!

Bridal Shower Inspiration

Today is the day of my sister in law to be's Florida bridal shower that I'm throwing. After polling her as to what she'd like I had: Eiffel towers, French things, and the sort of palette and look from Marie Antoinette's period at Versailles. Then I sifted and sorted through the Internet and Pinterest to find inspirational images to get my ideas flowing. This is some of what I found:
All of that gave way to me sketching this:
A Versailles inspired sketch of the bride herself.
Then that gave way to this:

The save the date for the shower (many of the invites where going to people out of town so I wanted to make sure they had enough notice).

It's a lot of pictures and process just to get things rolling, I know. But I thought it'd be fun to share all the pretty with you. I'll show the actual invites and more details later as things progress.

Kisses,

K

Happy International Women's Day!

Today is the day to celebrate women everywhere; so of you're a women, celebrate you! If you're not, celebrate the women in your life!

To all the women in my life, thanks for being so awesome and setting some great examples and standards! We wouldn't be near as far as we are today without your hard work and perseverance! Muchos Gracias!!! To all the women my age and younger, let's keep carrying the torch, we're strong, and as Rosie the Riveter made clear, we can do it!

Just for fun:

Hooray for the ladies!

Kisses,

K

P.S.,

Thanks to my cousin Chethan all the way in India for alerting me to Women's Day! I appreciate it!
