Get Nailed; Griege

Last week I went for a lovely gray mani.

I used Sally Hansen quick dry in Slick Slate.

And then because I enjoyed having the little hearts on my ring fingers so much this last time I brought it back! (I stuck with the Revlon oxblood Forbidden shade again too.) The color contrast in the pics isn't very good but it's definitely better in person.

It feels Autumnal to me without being typical.

Would you wear gray polish?

Fashion Friday

It's so easy to find good fashion inspiration these days on the internets so I though I would start sharing some of the looks that I'm currently loving on Fridays.

For my first one I decided to go with this pic of Olivia Palermo killing it in the cozy chic category!

From the gold bottoms on her peacoat to pop of color on her heels, this outfit is both classic and unexpected at the same time.

Let's break it down: traditional black peacoat, cozy cable knit ivory sweater, cute flirty back and white leopard print skirt, opaque black tights, black high heel boots with a colorful twist, a matching bag carried as a clutch, and simple classic gold jewelry.

She pulls the look together with an overall black palette that keeps everything grounded, the fun pattern and shape of the skirt make it playfully youthful while the tights keep her warm and covered, and the pop of color on the heels and bag adds a chic twist to the look while the matching hue keeps it looking purposeful, in a good way. Lastly, her jewelry subtly enhances her outfit instead of competing with it.

This is definitely a look I'd like to try to find a Florida version of! (I'll keep you posted if I'm able to track anything similarly styled down.)

Que C'est Jolie!

Love the gift with purchases Estée Lauder does! This time around I bought a lash primer and face wash. I've really been loving their mascaras lately so I decided to try the primer and it's been pretty good so far.

I've read you should wear the lash primer at night like conditioner for your eyelashes and I think I'm going to try this and see if it makes my lashes more lush. The gwp (gift with purchase) shadow palette has a lot of nice colors, the lip gloss/ lip stick combo is so pretty and convenient, and the mascara is fab!

And their face wash and anti aging creams and serums are the bomb! I love using this face wash I purchased as a mask before I get into the shower for extra moisture and clean. The gwp face wash was just ok. Too scented for my taste but it'll be good for traveling. And the Daywear cream and Advanced Night Repair Serum are amazing. I have a lot of allergies and über sensitive skin and these soothe it and improve it.

Rest In Peace

I was saddened to learn of the death of Diane Disney Miller today via one of the Disney blogs. She was not only Walt Disney's daughter but was also an amazing woman that was an inspiration!

To learn more about her please go to the Disney Parks blog or google her. She was a part of a magical legacy and will be missed.

Wanderlust Wednesday

Jackson Hole, Wyoming:

I've always dreamed of cozying up in snowy mountains by a warm fire... And Jackson Hole has a wild romance about it to me. I think it would be an amazing place to visit and enjoy the great outdoors the way they were meant to be, rugged and wild. Of course, when the day outside is done coming back to luxurious cabin wouldn't hurt either... Very romantic.
