It's Baby Shower Time!

One of my friends is having a baby girl so a group of us are throwing her a shower and I'm playing host. The adorable theme (great job Patty!) is "Mom to Bee" since her daughter's room will be mostly yellow.

I've been "busy as a bee" working on decor for the party. I've been fluffing tissue flowers and cutting and pasting all sorts of bits and bobs that I made... But I decided to splurge on one already made piece of gorgeousness!

It came beautifully shipped and packaged like this:

The shower's on Sunday so there's more party goodness to come! (and maybe some decoration making DIY's too... Let me know if you're interested!)

Inspire Me Tuesday!

I decided to start regular Tuesday posts about things, images, people, etc. that I find inspiring!

Why Tuesday? Why not? It's an oft skipped over day of the week when it comes to these sorts of things (it's all Wednesday is hump day, so sad it's Monday, and thanking the deities for Friday) but its also a great day for a little pick me up til you get to your much needed beloved weekend.

So without further ado...

Today I'd like to share a beautiful image of a watercolor palette. Color rocks my world when it comes to inspiring me. It lifts my mood and elevates my mind to the space it needs to be in to get my creative juices flowing!

Plus a palette is inspiration unto itself; it's full of endless possibilities, fresh starts, new ideas, and with a watercolor palette in particular mistakes can be washed away and fixed with the swipe of a brush...

Spring Is Near

Hi! I'm in the process of packing and moving amidst many other things so I've found myself neglecting my newly started blog already! Yikes!So, until I get a moment to write the promised vacay posts I'll leave you with a little something.... A photo that harkens the promise of spring. Bright, cheery, but most importantly, still weather appropriate!

See! Bright? Vibrant colors, check! Cheery? Who could resist the playful polka dot nails... Check! Weather appropriate? Gloves, check! After all, it's still c c cold here in the Paciffic Northwest. I plan on trying to channel Kate Spade and bundle up with a Spring in my step and in my wardrobe!

Packing Process

Everyone has their own packing process when it comes to traveling. Some people fly by the seat of their pants (literally, cause they only packed one pair) while others have a meticulous process they go through and are ready weeks in advance. What do you do?

Baby Let's Cruise

"Let's cruise, let's flow, let's glide..." (cue cheesy 60's classic music here) on a vacation away from it all... leaving all our worries behind...

Mr. T and I are going on a cruise to México this weekend for our one year anniversary/ honeymoon!

We decided to stay at our wedding destination after it was all over so we could visit with all our family and friends who came to the wedding that we never get to see (seeing them requires cross-continental travel) so it wasn't really a quiet honeymoon but more of a celebration continuation. (Although we did sneak away each night for a just the two of us dinner at some fabulous places!)

Needless to say we're super excited to get to take this trip! The crazy pre-travel laundry packing has commenced. I'm still trying to figure out what exactly to bring and what balance of warm and cold clothes will work best this time of year when you're cruising to México.
So I will put off pesky rental hunts till we get back. I can't wait to be off to warmer snowless places... Aaaah sun... How I've missed your smiling rays...

Jeans for colder days.

Cute nautical stripes everywhere, anywhere, and any color.

Wide brimmed hats to keep the sun off my pale skin, colorful bikinis to make up for the pale skin, and a great sunscreen to keep it safe!
