Inspire Me Tuesday

What do you see when you dream?

Or daydream?

I often picture Paris alight with the sun's glorious rays casting golden colors amongst the shadows...

It reminds of a time when I was young and free. When I lived in Paris and just the living there made the world seem so big and so small and so possible all at the same time. When my hopes were fresh and my spirit barely bruised...

I am grateful for all that life has sent me since then, both the joys and the sorrows.

But sometimes I dream of that time... Of that freshness and wonder.

I smile at that girl who knew so much and so little. If I could, I'd thank her.

Because when I daydream about sunsets in Paris, I daydream about her.

And she reminds me that anything and everything is possible still.

Always possible.

Kisses,

K

Disney Day: A Very Disney Sunset Stroll

Not long ago the Husband and I decided to pop over to Disney's Coronado Springs for a quick bite and stroll.
The setting there is very romantic so it's one of our favorite spots to go.
As we left the house we saw this awesome sliver of a rainbow in the sky amidst all the sun rays. It was a lovely surprise.
Once there we grabbed some yummy empanadas to go and found a spot outside under the sunny sky.

We then saw the next scene in the sky's beautiful playof spectacular evening displays.

These whispy fluffy clouds were amazing. They spanned more than half the sky.

I really enjoyed all the blooming flora and fauna too. Birds of paradise are one of my favorite flowers.

Not sure what these yellow bloomed trees are but they were so lovely.

Then as the sun started to set we strolled around the the lake.

Every turn brought a gorgeous new vista.

The sun was really outdoing herself splashing the best colors from her palette across the sky...

So pretty.

Of course I had to sneak in a picture of the awesome resort pool we passed.

But it was the sky that really made the evening lovely.

One of the prettiest sunsets I've enjoyed in a while.

It really reminded me that I should take more time to stop and enjoy all the bounty surrounding me.

K

Wanderlust Wednesday

The Southernmost Point in the United States, down in the Florida Keys.

My Husband and I were lucky enough to visit the Northwestern most point in the U.S. this year and I'm really hoping we can figure out a way to get down to the Southernmost point which is completely diagonally across the country from it. I may have grown up in Florida but believe it or not I've never actually made it down to Keys. I've been close but never there.

I would love to take a trip down there even if it's just a really long drive for dinner and a sunset with a really long drive home.

Have you been to the Keys and did you love it? Have you ever tried conch fritters Key Lime Pie? They are my absolute fave!

Kisses,

K

Goodnight Sweet Sun

I've been so happy to be back here in the Florida sunshine... I really missed the sun in Seattle (even though I loved Seattle).

This was the view of the sunset where we live while walking our puppy tonight. Magical, right?

Just wanted to share a little sunny magic with you.

On a different note, we're having internet issues over here again. (The only internet available out here kinda stinks... Sigh...) So my posting may be a bit spotty and done from my cell till I figure it out. :/ But at least I bring you sunshine!
Kisses,
K
