"One of the worst storms ever devastated the Philippines over the weekend. Haiyan — the Super Typhoon.
WHAT HAPPENED? On Friday, Haiyan made its way through the Philippines’ central islands with powerful winds and storm surges nearly 20 feet high. Authorities are still trying to understand the magnitude of the devastation with communication lines down and limited access. While the military confirmed 942 deaths, around 10,000 people are believed to have been killed, with one city, Tacloban, hit the hardest."
